Dr. Rajeev Gupta, Chair of the BAPIO Yorkshire division visited almost 200 international nurses who have been recruited from India in the Yorkshire division.
There has been an official agreement between the Government of Goa NRI Commission & Overseas Employment Agency with Indo-UK Collaboration for the training of nurses in India for “Bridging the Gap” and recruitment to the UK. Overseas doctors are also getting support and mentoring/coaching for settling in the UK and tackling the issues in a way that is congenial to the culture. Dr. Gupta has personally visited them multiple times in batches and provided support and mentoring.
The Division is also going to celebrate Kerala Festival “Onum” in the Barnsley hospital, there is a visitor display with an information leaflet, quiz, and dancing to allow better integration and celebrate diversity.
